As I sit here; fingers typing with my freshly painted nails, MDG are probably preparing for the finale as our top 3 has been revealed. Shock?? Not really. Just a little. I think that Jay deserved to be on the top 3. And I wasn't looking forward to Adeline. Since there were only 6 of them left, only Jay & Hanis were really shining & should be on the top 3 in my opinion. *sigh*
When Fiqa was voted out, I was pretty disappointed cz she is one of my favs. When I found out she got eliminated, my interest dropped. I was like OMG why Fiqa???? *
To be honest, I don't think that Cindy & Adeline deserve it till now. Lack of facial expressions, Lack of the X-factor. Lack the model factor. Sure Adeline looked great doing the commercial for Escada fragrance but her photos all portray the same look on her face & it's starting to get annoying. What's up with the face babe? She has the hair that is rocking & great height to match her figure. The only great facial shot was when she did she Summer photo shoot thing because she had that really sincere & sweet smile. Cindy is another one who lacks the high fashion look in most of her photos. She's much more suited for commercial of as a host probably with her bubbly personality.
The photo shoot that I love so far out of this season would be the Couture Batik. I just love couture photo shoots as it's always art plus fashion. And I totally love the dresses they were supposed to shoot in. Absolutely gorgeous. All flow-y & soft. But unfortunately some did not use that to the advantage it seems
Adeline:
Love the dress a lot! My second fav color baby! Her movements are great in this. Could have been a great photo if her face was not like that!!! What's up with the face again!!! So depressing I tell you everytime I look at her un-smiling face, it's all the same annoying ones. If not, she would have rock it waaayy better.
Cindy:
Another gorgeous dress. Rich violet. But she looks weird. Just like any other of her high fashion shots. Like I said, she will only shine when she gets to show her natural bubbly personality - happy, cheerful, smiling photos. I would have preferred if she did some movements with her arms and not had it so stiff like this. Not a very WHOA photo.
Hanis:
She definitely rock it! Love this shot. Graceful yet strong. She did the dress justice in this shoot. She is another one of my favs. She has the x-factor & great personality. Just as Andrew from andrewsmodels said. Love it! I'm glad that she is in the top 3. She really deserve it.
Jay:
Great one but she could have done better. One thing about Jay that I agree is that she has the whole package but from the beginning she was already good. So she had to work even harder to improve & produce even better ones everytime to keep people captivated by her shots. One unfortunate thing about being good at the beginning is people lose interest as you're just good all the time without any improvements.
She dig the runway that's for sure.
Nadia:
I'm wondering why this photo. Her face looks so weird because she was it the midst of jumping and she forgot to control her facial expressions. Not easy, yes, but as a model you have to be able to do so. But she had a great idea for her approach to her shoot. But please! I can't stand her. There's something about her that I'm really getting tired of as the episodes progress. She has talent, yes! But she gets too...full of herself at times. She can appear scary without trying which is a bad thing as well. Wasn't surprised that she was voted off.
Ringo:
Is she pretty? Yes. Is she adorable? Quite. Personality? Great. High fashion model? NO. She can so great in other industry such as hosting and the likes but not this. In this photo, her hands look stiff, she should have naturally move her arms to get that natural effect to go along with her garment. She rocks in that hair though. Nothing against her but she ain't the one for this.

So there you have it, the top 3. Hanis, Adeline & Cindy. I'm just a little shock that Adeline is in the top 3. Anyway, I always think that letting the results to be based solely on voting in such a competition is just not right. Why?

It becomes a popularity competition. Not based on talent. It's unfair & it's just simple not right. Such competition should be judged based on the professionals on who are cut out for it & who are not. From the beginning I've been wondering what are the 3 judges for in the first place besides for choosing the top 12 finalists at the beginning?

So what if that SHE has the most votes coz she's popular & she has a whole line of people voting for her 1K times. The true thing is that does SHE have what it takes?

At times you get really quality results but there's no doubt that not 100%. I definitely hope that Hanis will win because honestly from the 3 of them, she's the deserving one. Only way to find out is during the finale next week @ 1 Utama, 29 April 2008. For those who wish to watch it live there, hurry up & get your tickets...

On that day, Malaysia will find out the first Malaysian Dreamgirl. Who do you think should win? One of the top 3? Or should it have been one of the ones that were already voted out?
i dont watch malaysian dreamgirl =( my internet is slow and silly, it has a mind of its own.. i hope hanis wins because you like her so much =) although, i always thought that ringo would win because she has such a big online fan base.. do take care.. and have fun at the event!
