As I was getting enough of reading from the current book I'm planting my face in lately - One Night Stand by Julie Cohen (don't judge the novel by the title itself!), I decided to stop & do some blogging. Hence, here are some of the movies that got me glued to the computer for hours whilst increasing the chances of me getting cellulite.
For those of you who read the book, you would know exactly what this movie is all about. Starring Hilary Swank & Gerard Butler. I think that they make a great couple on this movie. This movie pretty much did the book some justice, I think. Definitely not one of those movies such as Harry Potter, which was a shame compared to the book. Good flow & it has a great balance between life, romance & comedy. It's serious but nothing too serious that it bores you to death. Basically, they got married very young. Movie starts of with arguments but then it recovered through the love they have for each other. Then he dies. But life for her has just begun. A story about how a husband who died send letters after letters to help the wife move along.Over Her Dead Body
Comical yet interesting without lameness. If you love Eva Longoria for her character in Desperate Housewives as Gabriel, you would love her in this movie. Every moment from her reminds me of Gabriel. There's a similarity. Although it would be rather horrible to have a soul who has not "moved on" to sorta "haunt you". But it does lack something where unfortunately I can't tell what is it coz I can't seem to picture what this movie lacks. A lady who unexpectedly died on her wedding day, isn't about to accept the fact & let her fiance move on. She tries hard to "protect him" & do whatever it takes to stop the new relationship between him & a psychic who can see her soul.Scoop
Hot Scarlet Johansson looks like a hot geek in this movie with her glasses. Very interesting although it gets rather fast ending towards the end. It's also rather predictable to me what would happen after half of the movie passed. There were certain parts that were pretty unreasonable. Well, a lot of movies are like that. It's suppose to be a comedic one but overall - there's a minus in that area. However, it's not anything near terrible or horrible.
LOVE
And then I went to Cineleisure's Cathay on Thurs to watch this with KVin. It is the Indonesian version of Love Actually where it revolves around the lives of 5 couples. Of course, everything between them revolves around love. Be it the joy & beauty that comes from love, the pain & sadness that comes from unrequited love, the emptiness when the one you love betrays yours or when love needs more than just that feeling when you first see "The One".
Like any Indo romance movies, there's happiness, reality & tears. Very sad towards the ending that I teared. *but no puring rain, TQ* A lil drama here & there though.
After the movie, we head to 1U for dinner. Then there was this Fashion On 1 2008 @ 1 U which will be from 24 April 08 to o4 May 08. It's basically showcasing Spring/Summer wear 2008 by various best fashion retailers in 1U. All this fashion Spring/Summer 08 going around everywhere in every single shopping center in KL (The Gardens, Pavilion, Sg, Wang, MidValley, etc) - it just makes you wanna go on a retail therapy trip so bad!
